• 2025 federal: IRS Rev. Proc. 2024-40 (rp-24-40.pdf), standard deduction as amended by Public Law 119-21 (2025).
• 2026 federal: IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 (rp-25-32.pdf). Provisional until the IRS publishes the 2026 forms.
• Net investment income tax: IRC 1411 (3.8%; $200,000 single, $250,000 joint).
• Wash sales: IRC 1091; IRS Publication 550 (irs.gov/publications/p550); Rev. Rul. 2008-5 (IRA purchases).
• Capital loss limit and carryover: IRC 1211(b), 1212(b); Schedule D instructions.
• California: FTB tax rate schedules X and Y and standard deductions for 2024 and 2025 (ftb.ca.gov/forms); 1% Mental Health Services Tax above $1,000,000. 2026 California uses 2025 values until FTB publishes. Personal exemption credits are not applied.
